Our paths have crossed again and again in the last three decades. Now we are combining our know-how and our many years of experience in the most varied areas of the real estate sector under the AKRES umbrella and successfully integrating our national and international networks.

This has created a consultancy company for both institutional and private property assets that has excellent contacts at its disposal both in asset management and investment management and which can provide a large number of references.

Albert E. Koutny (1966)

Albert Koutny’s career started in 1995 in the Corporate Real Estate division of a subsidiary of Deutsche Bank. Later positions took him into project development and portfolio management for open-ended funds. From 2001 onwards he was Head of Asset Management at Deutsche Interhotel Holding in Berlin, a subsidiary of Deutsche Bank and Aareal Bank. In 2004 Albert Koutny moved to the internationally operating consultancy firm of Healey & Baker, today Cushman & Wakefield. Here he was initially responsible for evaluating commercial portfolios and in subsequent years he managed the Account Management department in Frankfurt as a partner. In 2014 he founded Albert Koutny Real Estate Services.
Albert Koutny is a Business Administration Graduate, a Real Estate Economist (ebs) and a Member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors.

Daniel Rauen (1984)

Mr. Rauen’s initial career steps were in the textile sector, where he gained his first experience with Breuninger, Wöhrl and Sinn Leffers. Whilst studying, Daniel Rauen managed the family’s own real estate portfolio, where the foundations of his orientation towards real estate were laid. For some years Daniel Rauen has concentrated on the transaction management of specialist market centres and large-volume residential facilities for private and institutional investors.
Daniel Rauen is an experienced commercial officer, a Bachelor of Arts and an Estate Agent (Chamber of Commerce and industry).

Dirk Schmitz (1964)

Mr. Schmitz is an acknowledged expert in the purchase and sale of residential and commercial real estate and is so at both an individual property and portfolio level. He has a track record of over 500 million Euros in sales volume and can rely on over 26 years of real estate experience. With the firm of Schmitz & Benner Immobilien founded in 1992 he got to know the developers’ segment in the real estate sector. Later positions as an Investment Consultant to Dresdner Bank and internationally operating companies such as CBRE, Hudson Advisors and Cushman & Wakefield, where he successfully conducted real estate transactions and portfolio streamlining.
Mr. Schmitz is a Commercial Officer of the Land and Residential Property Sector and a Real Estate Specialist (Chamber of Commerce and Industry).
